Housekeeper-Childcare in Geneva Old Town to Start in December

A warm and busy family living in Geneva, Old Town, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Housekeeper & Childcare Assistant to join their household. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in private homes, has cooking skills and the ability to assist with childcare responsibilities.
The family is planning to have more children, and there is a possibility of extending this position to full-time as their needs evolve.
Both parents work full-time and currently, they have a nanny.
This position is open for candidates available to work live-in as the family can provide a private studio in the same building.
Start date: December 2024
Children: A girl aged 7 years old.
The family is planning to have more children and hire a candidate full-time.
Schedule: From 1 pm to 7 pm (36 hours a week)
Family language: English, Italian, French, Japanese.
Candidate language required: English. Italian would plus

Main tasks:

Household chores including laundry and ironing
Prepare dinner. The famliy loves Italian food. The family also likes to cook.
Pick up the daughter from the school when the nanny is not available.
Travel on weekends to Italy.

Requirements:

Eligibility to work in Switzerland, Swiss/French Passport or Swiss permit
Written letters of recommendation or job certificates that we can verify
Previous experience in the same role working in private household settings.
Ability to prepare meals, with a strong preference for Italian cuisine.
Experience in childcare and a genuine love for working with children.
Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
Manage time effectively, and work independently.
Accompany the family on frequent weekend trips to Italy. Flexibility for travel is essential
Pet-Friendly. The family has a Labrador.
