Summary of the position

The Membership Development Specialist – Membership data – will be responsible for optimising the use of Membership data to support membership retention, engagement and growth. The Membership Development Specialist will also support the Head of Membership Development in implementing membership engagement and development strategies at global and regional levels.

Main responsibilities

Membership data management

• Manage membership team related data (including its collection, quality control and maintenance), ensuring its accuracy and conduct analysis to identify trends and insights to increase member engagement and growth
  
• Review and update of membership processes
  
• Work closely with the CRM core team to continually improve the system’s capabilities for membership data at organisational level, including participating in the development of a member/constituent journey
  

Membership retention, engagement and development

• Support the Head of Membership Development with engagement and recruitment outreach for key opportunities linked to UICC programmes and participate in member cultivation
  
• Manage membership support fund activities, liaising with members globally, gathering information on their engagement in UICC activities and preparing a report for partners
  
• Provide information to help the membership team deliver high-quality service to support over 1150 members globally
  
• Support membership operations, including retention activities, events and communications
  

Skills and competencies

• An advanced university or technical degree
  
• 3-5 years of working experience, including experience with data related projects
  
• Advanced computer software skills, including database management (MS Dynamics a plus)
  
• Strong communication skills – interpersonal, written and verbal in English and other language such as French and Spanish a plus
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a passion for using data to enhance organisational objectives
  
• Desirable: experience working with an international team and understanding of NGOs (experience in a membership organisation a plus)
