IT RDM Biological Sample Production and Management is a global IT team that is responsible to develop, support and manage IT solutions for biological research and development for human and animal health globally. This team collaborates with research scientists, IT experts, and external vendors to improve and enhance business processes and efficiency of R&D activities.


We are seeking a motivated and strategic person to join our IT Team as:

Principal System Analyst (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• As a member of the global IT team and IT product teams, the candidate will provide IT consultancy and operational support to research scientists globally, with focus on supporting three business units in Switzerland
• Take over a role as system analyst or system engineer for IT solutions including system configuration, design and development
• Develop and maintain productive and constructive rapport with key business contacts
• Actively collaborate with IT service teams, research units, and external vendors for stable support and maintenance of our IT system landscape
  

Requirements

• Bachelor in Computer Science/Information technology, Biology, Chemistry, Engineer or related areas, and advanced degree is a plus
• Preference will be given to candidates who has experience in IT support for research and development systems, especially biopharmaceutical industry
• Working experience with at least one programming languages such as Python and Java, and database technology such as Postgre SQL, MS SQL Server and Oracle, and operation systems such as Linux and Windows
• Experience with IT project management, certificate in project management, CPI, or scrum is a plus
• Work effectively and independently or as a team member & act proactively with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
• Strong communication skills in English and fluent in German with a passion for working in a virtual, international, multicultural and diversity environment
