Our Indirect Procurement Department in Bad Zurzach, Switzerland is looking for a:
Purchasing Agent
(f/m/d) (100 %)
The Purchasing Agent role provides administrative support to the purchasing department, helping with the FIORI tool and No PO/No Pay policy rollout, preparing purchase orders, keeping records, and ensuring policy compliance. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to support smooth procurement operations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and implementing the FIORI tool in their location.
- Train and assist colleagues in the use of the tool.
- Follow up on order confirmations and delivery schedules.
- Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and escalation management.
- Perform follow-on tasks like PO changes and GRN submissions.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and manage order statuses.
- Resolve any issues related to deliveries, such as delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Assist in preparing reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining procurement documentation.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other documents for the purchasing department.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, as needed.
Your ideal profile:
- You possess a high school diploma or equivalent; any further education in business, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- You have previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative role, which is preferred.
- You have experience with SAP, which is a strong advantage.
- You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- You are detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy in your work.
- You can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- You bring a service-oriented, helpful, and can-do attitude.
- You possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- You have the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
