Senior 3D Artist - Generalist

We are looking for a 3D Generalist Artist to join the Interactive Avatar team, for the conception, basic modeling, rigging, and animation of beautiful avatars using a variety of tools, and being part of the creation and testing of exciting new microservices and corresponding tools. We are looking for a 3D Generalist Artist to join the Interactive Avatar Team - one of the teams behind the NVIDIA Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE). ACE is a suite of real-time AI technologies for the development and deployment of end-to-end interactive avatars and digital human applications:

As a member of our team, you will work alongside highly skilled and motivated engineers, scientists, and artists to drive visuals, animations, and features.

What you will be doing:

Create 3D assets to support products, demos, documentation, and more.
Take a simple art task from start to finish including basic modeling, material creation, lighting, compositing, real-time engine implementation.
Import third-party avatars into the ACE animation pipeline and standardize and simplify the workflow to make them more accessible.
Optimize scenes for rendering performance. Ensure that art assets are performant and fit within their memory budgets.
Create complete avatar experiences including dialog and visual assets.
Curate and maintain an art assets within a database, ensuring everything is organized accordingly.
Work with internal and external users in identifying and fixing asset pipeline and workflow issues.
Be the first user of and new tools and services and collaborate with various teams (creative, engineering, research, etc.) on avatar technology.

What we need to see:

Proven experience working on content creation ideally real-time projects or video games.
Degree in Bachelor of Arts, Computer Engineering, or equivalent and 5 or more years of industry experience.
Great rigging and animation skills and basic modeling and texturing knowledge.
Proficiency of meaningful software packages for modeling, texturing and animation such as Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, Zbrush, etc.
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects*, Premiere Pro*).
Very creative and an excellent eye for detail.
Experience with real-time rendering solutions (Unreal Engine, Unity, Omniverse) is a big plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to write Python code.

Proven experience in working in games or movie industry and a striking portfolio showing off the best of your artistic vision.
Experience with GPU rendering tools (both offline and real-time).
Good Python scripting skills.
You have a flair for user experience!
