Our ambition in Switzerland
Approach’s goal is to build a local team of about twenty Swiss colleagues within 2 years, establish strategic partnerships, and build trusted relations with customers within the Swiss market.
With an existing and growing client base in Switzerland, the establishment of Approach Switzerland S.A. marks an important step forward in the company’s expansion strategy.
Located in Lausanne, within the state-of-the-art Unlimitrust Campus inaugurated in early June, the team is delighted to be part of a strong and growing ecosystem of cyber security and digital trust and will work alongside renowned organisations such as the Cyber Peace Institute, Trust Valley and EPFL.
Your role and responsibilities
Approach must ensure the quality, availability, security and scalability of its information systems on behalf of one of its clients (a Swiss public-law entity based in Geneva).
To this end, the Senior Information Security and Data Protection Consultant will support the information systems security team in its main activities, in particular to :

• Defining security policy and guidelines and ensuring that they are applied to the institution's processes and tools;
• Participating as an expert in information system (IS) security projects and incorporating security requirements into other development projects;
• Carrying out operational monitoring of IS security issues;
• Raising users' awareness of information security issues, risky practices and recommended good behaviour;
• Participating in the preparation and testing of customer continuity plans;
• Keeping the IS security repository up to date (processes, risk mapping, etc.).

The scope of this job requires the candidate to be highly sensitive to the data and the need for increased protection with regard to the customer's image.
The information system, consisting in particular of Web applications designed and developed in-house, is likely to undergo major changes in the short to medium term.
Your profile

• University degree in information systems (Master's level, EPFL) or HES or training deemed equivalent;
• Specialisation in information security evidenced by a diploma (CAS in IS security or equivalent) or recognised advanced certification in the field.
• At least 5 years' experience in the field;
• Practice of risk analysis in IS development projects or on existing components (identification of threats and vulnerabilities, formalisation of risk scenarios, risk treatment and remediation plans, etc.), using normative frameworks (ISO-27005 or equivalent) and standard methods (EBios RM, etc.);
• Ability to work closely with IT teams, in particular to understand and discuss technical issues (in relation to application or technical components), issues relating to system operation and user support, continuity plans and IT Department risks, etc. ;
• Perfect command of the French language (both written and spoken);
• Very good writing skills, experience in drafting various types of documents: security policies and directives, information security awareness materials, briefing notes for management, etc. ;
• Fluency in public speaking, in leading presentation and/or training sessions and in dialogue with users, including leading working sessions and workshops;
• Good command of office automation tools.

Considered as a plus:

• Experience in a judicial environment or in another government sector;
• Experience within the State of Geneva: information systems, regulatory framework;
• Experience of using a risk management and/or risk mapping tool;
• Experience of information systems governance processes and enterprise architecture (Togaf / Archimate);
• Mastery of UML or equivalent for business process modelling.
