We are looking for a Senior Program Manager Cocoa to join the Group Sustainability team in the company’s headquarters in Kilchberg, Switzerland. This new role will be part of Lindt & Sprüngli’s global cocoa sustainability team and report to the Head of Cocoa Sustainability. As the Senior Program Manager you will oversee, manage and further develop the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program, our Program for responsible sourcing of cocoa. In this role, you will lead the growing team in origin, currently consisting of three members, and closely work with suppliers and Program partners.


In this role, your main tasks will be to:
1. Co-lead and support the further development of the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program, with a focus on the supply chain and supplier requirements
2. Manage the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program, which includes:
  • Proposal development and lead of supplier contracting process
  • Oversee Program execution and ensure efficient and effective implementation, including project management and annual reporting oversight, quality assurance and sharing of learnings
  • Closely collaborate with the HQ team's internal experts (climate & biodiversity, MEL, human rights) to set priorities and coordinate implementation in cocoa origins
  • Financial management
  • Work closely with procurement teams and manage supplier relationships and performance
  • Line manage and expand Lindt & Sprüngli origin teams
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
  • Master’s degree in agronomy, sustainable development or business
  • 10+ years experience in program management and ideally tropical agricultural commodity supply chains
  • Strong commitment to and passion for delivering impact at scale for farming families and their communities.
  • Excellent project management and planning skills. Strong strategic and analytical skills while keeping attention to detail.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to independently lead discussions with suppliers and service providers. Solid experience with cost benchmarking, financial planning, and budgeting.
  • Strong people management and communication skills, and facilitation of collaborative decision-making with stakeholders across hierarchies, countries and cultures.
  • Sense of ownership, entrepreneurial mindset, and independent working behavior.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and French. German, and/or Spanish of advantage
  • Readiness to travel to cocoa origins globally (up to 30% of your time). Experience (having lived and worked) in West Africa or Latin America is a strong plus.
