We are looking for a Trader, the candidate will initiate and lead the marketing and trading activities of the crude oil from the Group's and 3rd party supply source to generate maximum profit, searching for new clients/suppliers and preparing presentations/letters/reports.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Conducts day-to-day activities of Crude oil trading: accountable for making instant decision on selling and buying for meeting profitability and optimization targets.
- Conducts monthly sales and purchases based on information from suppliers/refinery for the supply of crude oil to refinery and selling rest volumes.
- Conducts negotiations for buying additional volumes of crude oil from the market, making swaps in order to meet refineries’ needs. Makes sure that refinery receives required crude oil in time.
- Develops new sources of alternative supplies to refinery with various grades of crude oil as potential supply. Ensure refinery optimizes on price and other terms and conditions.
- Conducts negotiations of spot/ term sales of crude oil.
- Calculates of estimated costs/profit/loss on each deal, follows to the approved deal recap till its finalization, supporting operations depts in problematic cases.
- Tracks and monitors each deal, interacts with relevant departments involved in the trading/commercial activity.
- Tracks and monitors world market movements; advises and identifies new trading and business opportunities to the company.
- Negotiates contracts for purchase/sale of Crude oil supply within limits of authority and optimizes crude oil purchases and trades around company assets.
- Performs hedging of crude oil according to the Hedging Policy of the Company. Analyzes and executes hedging strategies and develops analytical reports to assist in taking hedging decisions.
Applicants must have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics or related fields;
• More than 3 years of experience in commodity trading;
• Knowledge of Aspect electronic archiving system or similar software is a must
• Fluent English both written and spoken is a must
• Italian and Russian is a plus
• Work permit in Switzerland
