Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Construction Manager / Site Engineer for Bamboo Construction. You will be working directly under the CEO/Founder from Germany and be the key person accountable for building luxury and sustainable villas from scratch within a dynamic start up culture.


You will be leading your own team of Burmese workers, hence being able to speak Burmese is a big plus.


The position is based on the tropical island of Koh Phangan, Thailand.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the construction of modern houses using timber and steel
• Train Burmese staff in advanced construction methods
• Apply effective project management skills to ensure successful completion of construction projects
• Use strong communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Ability to hands-on oversee and instruct construction work
• Professional experience in project management, construction is preferred
  
• Ability to manage and lead teams of Burmese workers, Burmese language skills are a plus
• Fluency in English

Core Required Qualities:

• A sense of accountability, a strong work ethic, and a deep passion for sustainable construction.
• Ability to adapt and excel in a startup environment characterized by busy days and flat hierarchies.

Working Conditions:

• This position is local, based in Koh Phangan, Thailand.
• Salary range between 50,000 THB and 120,000 THB, depending on experience and output.
• Private health insurance included.
