We are thrilled to announce that we are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as Country Manager – Thailand. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven leader to make a significant impact, spearheading our growth and operations in Thailand.
What you will be doing.
As our Country Manager – Thailand, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management decisions, overseeing the strategic development and executing the strategic and tactical plans of the Company within specific locations. The Country Manager is responsible for effectively managing the performance of employees to ensure deliverables in accordance with instructions, procedures and policies.
The key dimensions of the role will be:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies, action plans, and budgets to drive substantial growth and expansion within the country.
- Lead business development efforts, ensuring alignment with global strategies while customizing for the local market.
- Oversee organizational systems and processes to optimize resource deployment, promoting long-term efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure accurate execution and monitoring of approved budgets and strategic plans.
- Adapt and enforce company policies and procedures to fit the country’s business landscape.
- Manage the delivery of high-quality consultancy and engineering services, meeting both client expectations and project requirements.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams for joint marketing, resource sharing, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Lead recruitment initiatives, coordinating closely with HR to align with the company’s recruitment plan and financial budgets.
- Manage sub-contractor performance, focusing on quality control, cost-efficiency, and qualification standards.
- Provide overall leadership of the country’s business unit, ensuring consistent growth, profitability, and strong cost control practices.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service delivery.
- Lead and manage all personnel within the country, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Drive team development, motivating staff and promoting alignment with regional and senior management goals.
- Contribute to progress and financial reporting for senior management, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Oversee internal audits, ensuring proper execution of corrective actions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract pricing mechanisms to ensure financial success.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure technical compliance and apply lessons learned across projects.
- Develop and execute a sales and marketing plan tailored to the country, achieving significant revenue and profit targets.
- Represent the country in global meetings, influencing international strategies and policies.
- Identify and seize new market opportunities, driving innovation and business growth.
- Foster the professional development of senior staff, promoting leadership and growth within the organization.
- Act as the company’s spokesperson within the country, enhancing reputation and influence in the industry.
- Provide leadership in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE), ensuring accountability for all QHSE aspects in operations.
The position will be based in Thailand, reporting to the Deputy Regional Managing Director APAC. Flexibility to working hours and willingness to travel and work within a variety of time zones with some on-site/offshore attendance.
What we are looking for.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in business development and strategy, with demonstrated success in driving growth and achieving business objectives within the Energy Sector. You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions. In addition, you will have:
- Master Mariner (STCW II/2), Chief Engineer (STCW III/2), relevant degree, or equivalent offshore experience.
- Extensive experience in marine and engineering consultancy for offshore oil and gas markets.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in the Offshore Industry, including 5 years in roles such as tow master or marine representative.
- Proven track record in executing mid to large-scale business plans and project development.
