General information: We are looking for a "GENERAL ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST" who will be able to demonstrate knowledge in HITACHI ENERGY in Dudullu location with below qualifications.
The purpose of this role is to perform financial accounting activities for Turkey As part of the global Finance Common Shared Services (FCSS) function and reporting to the FCSS Front Office Manager. The role will be responsible for General Ledger accounting and ensuring its compliance with Accounting Policies, IFRS, Local GAAP, J-SOX and Internal Procedures. As part of the global FCSS function, the role will closely cooperate with our centers in Krakow and the Global team members.
Your background
- Degree in Business Administration
- Working knowledge of IFRS and J-SOX
- More than 5 years of experience in related functions
- Robust knowledge in external local statutory Accounting/Tax rules and principles.
- Robust knowledge Accounting Principles of Fixed Asset and IFRS 16.
- You are familiar with financial accounting systems and have good SAP user skills (S/4HANA)
- Have a good command of English (written and spoken) and a good knowledge of MS Office.
- A solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
- Experience working directly with multiple countries and cultures in a finance capacity
- High level of accuracy/attention to detail, hands-on mentality, strong delivery attitude, proactive attitude and plan activities
- Ability to multitask
- Resilience - strong ability to work with ambiguity and constantly changing set of circumstances and resolve issues under pressure.
- Flexibility, goal oriented mindset, team working skills and willingness to learn are required.

- Time management skills
- To be a team player who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision and keep an overview even in time-critical projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain confidential.
- CPA (SMMM) would be an asset
- Work experience in audit firm would be an asset
Responsibilities;
Essential duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Performing tasks based on Hitachi Energy Group Accounting Standards, Hitachi Energy Accounting and Reporting Guidelines,IFRS, local GAAP
- Assist in preparation of complete, accurate and properly presented annual financial statements
- Conducting investigations and reconciliations of accounts as necessary for any discrepancies.
- Performing general accounting activities and recording financial transactions.
- Ensures internal/external audits and other statutory audits are handled with high standards and in a professional manner and the findings are addressed and resolved promptly.
- Being part of month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities for the purposes of legal entity and divisional reporting
- Journal processing
- Participating in internal control testing and the preparation of required documentation.
- Researches and interprets accounting regulations and policies to resolve procedural questions.
- Performing task for S4 GL master data requirement of Turkey.
- Support the post-implementation phase of SAP S/4HANA.
- Acting based on identifying continuous improvement initiatives to increase process efficiency and effectiveness while performing tasks.
