Software Backend Engineer - GO & Node.js

Qlub is a Global Fin Tech Startup revolutionising payments in restaurants and cafes by letting customers pay straight from a QR code! After successfully launching in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Australia, Brazil and raising an additional $42 million in funding, we have recently launched Qlub in Turkey as well.
We are looking for skilled and motivated Backend Developers to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using modern technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable backend systems using Golang and Nest JS
  • Write testable and maintainable code with a strong understanding of concurrency patterns in Golang
  • Implement microservices using tools and technologies for messaging, RPC, and containerization
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices, working with relational databases such as Postgre SQL and No SQL databases like Elastic and Redis
  • Utilize Redis for caching and ensure high performance and scalability
  • Manage version control using Git Hub and track tasks with Jira.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly in English
  • Work independently with minimal supervision; self-management is an advantage


Requirements

  • Proficiency in Golang, including experience with Golang testing frameworks and built-in libraries (e.g., net, sync, strings, strconv)
  • Strong experience with Nest JS and Type Script
  • Solid experience with Postgre SQL and familiarity with No SQL databases (Elastic, Redis)
  • Hands-on experience with Redis for caching
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and tools for messaging, RPC, and containerization
  • Experience with Git Hub for version control and Jira for task management
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks effectively
