Middle / Senior Android Developer in Secure Mobile App Team

You will have the opportunity to join a team tasked with developing a mobile application for Namecheap, aimed at enhancing customer security. This will include features like security alerts via push notifications, approval of critical actions, and support for two-factor authentication (2FA). The team will build the app from the ground up, overseeing its entire lifecycle. This team will work in collaboration with Architects, Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, and other Back-end teams to ensure seamless integration within the Namecheap ecosystem. After completing the security app, there is already a lineup of other projects to be developed into mobile apps.
Your expertise:
- Proficiency in Kotlin
- Experience with Android SDK and Kotlin Standard Library
- Experience with Coroutines, Koin, Jetpack Compose
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to Back-end services
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Passionate about achieving results and a result oriented mindset
- Team player
- Intermediate level of English
- Published one or more Android apps in the Google Play Store
- Experience with Android Jetpack components
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Understanding of security and data protection for mobile apps
- Familiarity with modern architectural patterns, e.g., MVVM or MVI
- Knowledge of UI / UX best practices and guidelines for mobile development

- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
