One of the innovative products in the client’s portfolio is a seamless vehicle servicing Saa S platform that combines predictive software, skilled technicians, and trusted service hubs, making it easier to service connected vehicles with reduced downtime and disruptions. This platform is on a mission to revolutionize the way fleet businesses receive services from service providers. It strives to automate every aspect of vehicle maintenance, and bring transformative change to an industry ready for disruption.
What you will do
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain our web and mobile applications using Python.
- Develop and maintain Python backend services.
- Monitor the application and ensure problems are addressed and fixed.
What you need for this
Core:
- Minimum of 2 years in backend development.
- Solid knowledge in Python (Flask).
- Extensive or solid experience with SQL.
- Enforcing software development best practices, verifying design compliance with requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
Data Engineer background will be a significant plus
- Strong SQL knowledge including procedures, functions, query optimization, materialized views.
- Experience with Postgre SQL, Snowflake, Redshift, Lambda.
Nice to have:
- Basics in building scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices.
- Being open to other languages like Golang, Java, Javascript, C#.
- Interested in AI/ML workflows/intents like Amazon Lex, IBM Watson, GCP.
- Basic knowledge of AWS Services (including, but not limited to ECS, Lambda, S3, Aurora RDS, SQS).
General Requirements:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to agile development methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Good command of English (B2+/C1).
The position requires cooperation with engineers from Pacific Time Zone – standups take place at 6-7 pm and consider non-regular possible work hours until 9 PM.
