Position Overview

Since 2009, JSC "Deutsche Bank DBU" (Deutsche Bank Ukraine) operates as corporate bank in Ukraine, subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG, and offers a full range of corporate banking services to its clients (local corporates and subsidiaries of foreign companies).

We are looking for a TMI Pool Specialist
The main purpose of the position is to execute pool funding transactions for cash and liquidity management , as appropriate, in their relevant product/sector/market, in line with the Function’s funding/ trading strategies.

About the Job

Treasury Market & Investment (TMI) as part of Group Treasury is ensuring liquidity and executing bank’s funding, proactively managing the market risks of banking book activities, and effectively investing bank’s liquidity buffer. TMI Pool is a function within TMI with Global Head of Treasury Markets & Investment reporting line, managing the bank’s cash & funding and market risks of the Bank’s liquidity pool book activities as well as optimizing the bank’s non-core liquidity buffer. Regional Pool managers are the responsible for the pool books in the major bank’s hubs as well as overseeing the risk of the local Pool books in smaller countries of their respective region (APAC, EMEA and Americas). They all report (functionally) to the Global Head of TMI Pool while also maintaining local reporting lines where required.

Your key responsibilities

• Performing of daily pool funding and cash management (including Nostro and Central Bank accounts) through intergroup borrowing and lending and in accordance with internal limits and regulatory requirements.
  
• To ensure that operations executed by Treasury Markets and Investments (TMI) Pool Ukraine are in compliance with applicable Ukraine legislation, internal DBU regulations and policies and Group requirements;
  
• Monitoring and analyses of financial markets, trends and inherent risks for optimization of assets and liabilities for effective Bank’s liquidity management;
  
• To support Local Treasurer on the regular and ad-hoc local ALCOs including preparation and presentation of ALCO pack dedicated to TMI Pool topics;
  
• To participate on TMI Pool regional calls and present TMI Pool Ukraine topics where required;
  
• To perform back up of Ukraine Treasury function;
  
• Support to Local Treasurer on cash and liquidity management matters to steer liquidity and regulatory metrics/limits (e.g. minimum reserve,LCR, NFSR and Snlp, etc.) managing mismatches of assets and liabilities in the local liquidity pool, including hedging interest rate risk in pool and collateral portfolio where required,
  
• Updating and applying internal transfer prices based on local principles and methodologies. To ensure correctness of pricing applied by the business to the conducted trades is in line to the latest pricing model provided by the local Treasury;
  
• Pool, Liquidity portfolio and liquidity account P&L control and monthly forecasting, risk management of Pool books and sign-off in the bank's internal systems;
  
• To maintain transparency and understanding main drivers of Pool P&L and to investigate and resolve any issues that lead to inappropriate and incorrect P&L figures;
  
• Monitoring of RWA (Risk Weighted Assets), monthly forecasting and its ongoing optimization where possible;
  
• Communicate with other local banks with regards to extension of MM relationships, signing Interbank agreements and set up of respective credit limits;
  
• Timely prepare information regarding Pool activities, issues, open topics and daily end of day reports to the TMI Pool and Treasurers.
  
• Drive process improvements by owning various project both locally and cross country at EMEA level
  

Your skills and experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles
  
• A minimum understanding of P&L calculation, deposition, understanding the regulatory – liquidity impact of decisions.
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal for effective interaction due to involvement in risk management calls at global level;
  
• Presentation skills;
  
• Analytical and quantitative skills to understand market conditions and dynamics.
  
• Rigorous adherence and prioritization of Compliance and regulatory guidance issues.
  
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office package;
  
• Bachelor’s degree in finance and economics, or a related field;
  
• You are at native level in Ukrainian language and minimum advanced in English.
