About the Role:
Al Masaood Energy is currently recruiting experienced and highly motivated PLANT INSPECTOR to be a part of a great team based at Abu Dhabi, UAE. If successful, you will be responsible for Plant Inspection.
Responsibilities:
  • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
  • Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs.
  • Discard or reject materials or equipment not meeting specifications.
  • Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status.
  • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.
  • Grade, classify, or sort products/Equipment according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications.
  • Measure dimensions of products/Equipment to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Read dials or meters to verify that equipment is functioning at specified levels.
  • Check arriving materials to ensure that they match purchase orders and submit discrepancy reports when problems are found.
  • Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products/Equipment or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
  • Position products/Equipment, components, or parts for testing, or direct other workers to position them.
  • Analyze test data, making computations as necessary, to determine test results.
  • Conversant with welding technology and NDT including interpretation of Results.
  • Knowledge in the pipeline dig verification and repair (composite, sleeve, split tee, etc.) in addition to pipeline cleaning / pigging/ gauging/swabbing/ Set controls, start and monitor machines that automatically measure, sort, or inspect products/Equipment.
  • Ensure the execution of inspection task plan created in the MERIDIUM / MAXIMO applications as required and carry out the required inspection activities (internal & external) in accordance with company required inspection plan and in line with the applied inspection codes.
  • Disassemble defective parts and components, such as inaccurate or worn gauges and measuring instruments, using hand tools.
  • Interpret legal requirements, provide safety information, or recommend compliance procedures to contractors, engineers, or property owners.
  • Administer tests to engineers and operators to assess whether they are qualified to use equipment.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products/Equipment and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Adjust, clean, or repair products/Equipment or processing equipment to correct defects found during inspections.
  • Fabricate, install, position, or connect components, parts, finished products/Equipment, or instruments for testing or operational purposes.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products/Equipment, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
  • Assessment and determination of Fitness for Service (FFS)
  • Any other duties assigned by the Department manager.
Qualifications:
3 years Diploma or higher
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as an API Inspector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
  • Minimum 2 Years experience after receiving the API certificates
  • API 510, 570 Both Mandatory
  • In-service inspection
  • Familiar with LNG
