Senior Operation Theatre Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Operating Theatre Nurse to join our esteemed surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a DHA License and proven experience in a JCIA-accredited facility. As a Senior Operating Theatre Nurse, you will ensure the smooth operation of the surgical suite, provide high-quality patient care, and uphold the highest standards of surgical practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee activities in the operating theatre, including the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by providing scrub assistance, monitoring patient conditions, and managing surgical supplies.
- Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
- Monitor and manage patient vitals and anesthesia during surgical procedures.
- Lead and mentor junior operating theatre staff, providing guidance and support in best practices and protocols.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all surgical procedures and patient interactions.
- Handle emergency situations with composure and efficiency, providing appropriate interventions as needed.
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring all are in proper working order.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery procedures.
- Uphold JCIA standards and ensure compliance with quality and safety guidelines in all aspects of surgical care.
- Valid DHA License is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as Senior OT Nurse
Pay: AED11,000.00 - AED14,000.00 per month
