Job Role
We are currently looking for an ambitious experienced Building Surveyor to join our team. This position is open to suitably qualified individuals, who have a RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying and 5 years plus experience working in a commercial Surveying environment, possessing or working towards MRICS or equivalent.
This position is based at our head office in Faversham, set in a beautiful country park with free parking. We also have satellite offices in London and Orpington, which are available for ad hoc remote working.
Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: -

• Undertake measured surveys and site inspections.
• Act as Project Manager / Lead Consultant
• Project design and Specification writing (NBS)
• Produce Feasibility Reports
• Preparation of tender documentation
• Contract Administration
• Undertake site visits, attending/chairing meetings, as required.
• Professional matters, including, but not limited to Party Wall Matters, Acquisitions, Condition Surveys, Dilapidations etc.
• Supervision and mentoring of Graduate / Apprentice Building Surveyors.

Essential Requirements

• RICS Accredited Degree in Building Surveying.
• MRICS/MCIOB or working towards professional status.
• 5 years plus experience in a commercial Surveying environment.
• Be self-motivated, with a strong team working ethos.
• Possess excellent communication skills, at all levels, both verbally and in writing
• Able to ensure timely delivery of high-quality service to our clients.
• Possess excellent computing skills, work in an organised and methodical manner, with a high level of accuracy, technical knowledge, and attention to detail.
• Strong Report writing skills.
• Be fully conversant with statutory processes and have a good understanding of UK Building Regulations and Planning processes.
• Must have a current driving licence, and access to a car for site visits.
