Job description
This is a remote/work from home position with opportunities to occasionally travel to client locations for site visits, in person training etc. Our corporate office is in Connecticut.
We are looking for professionals with practical industry experience and a drive to leverage technology who are interested in sharing with our clients to improve operations and meet business objectives. The Supply Chain Business Analyst has experience in logistics and supply chain/sales operations.
POSITION TITLE: Business Analyst – Supply Chain
REPORTS TO: Director of Service
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Business Analyst – Supply Chain – is responsible for working with clients to understand business requirements, documenting, and advising how to best utilize IFS solutions to meet business requirements. Act as subject matter expert, share expertise with colleagues and customers. Develop solution concepts, optimize end to end process and functionality based on best practice approach for the business/industry. Stay up to date through continuous education and industry seminars.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Participate in customer requirements discovery sessions
· Conduct customer workshop sessions
· Provide status reports, document agendas and action items
· Guide and assist customer with testing and go-live strategy
· Write functional design documentation
· Keep up to date with application developments, be aware of new releases, their content, and in cooperation with the Solution Architect assess how it might affect the projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Expertise in supply chain processes such as inventory, purchasing and sales
· Experience in project management of ERP implementation projects a plus
· Experience in conducting projects in Agile methodology, a plus
· An academic background with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in e.g. Supply Chain management, Business or related experience
· Experience in IT projects for the implementation/upgrade of systems/applications OR Experience in IT projects for the implementation/upgrade of systems/applications is a PLUS for us - but not a must!
· IFS Applications experience a plus
· Aerospace and defense or construction experience a plus
· Certification a plus
· Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
· Commercial focus, consultative mindset, good interpersonal skills, a will to learn and develop and a “can-do” attitude
· Able to challenge company and industry norms where and when appropriate for the betterment of the client solution.
