We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our dynamic team.As the Business Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and sustainability of Flosverse Techsphere CIC by identifying and developing new business opportunities. You will work closely with the leadership team to expand our client base, forge strategic partnerships, and secure funding opportunities. This is a hybrid role, allowing flexibility to work remotely with occasional in-person meetings in Scotland. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of market trends. Familiarity with software tools, particularly Salesforce, will be advantageous in managing client relationships and tracking sales activities.

Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research and networking.
- Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to expand Flosverse’s services and reach in key markets, including education, healthcare, and community services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using Salesforce.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s services.
- Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and product improvements.
- Proven experience in a business development, sales, or partnerships role, preferably within the technology, education, or community sector.
- Strong understanding of grant applications and funding processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong time management and organisational skills.
- Experience in proposal writing and presenting to a range of audiences.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other business development tools.
- A passion for innovation, community development, and technology.
