Shirley Swimming Pool is looking for a new candidate to operate our unique and much loved on-site café, 'The Big Red Bus Café'.
Big Red is a converted double-decker Yorkshire bus, which serves our members with hot and cold drinks, snacks, and light bites.
We are looking for outgoing individuals who likes to work in a customer-facing environment, and who can work independently and to a high level of cleanliness and organisation.
As we are a members-only site during the cafe's opening hours, the bus is often quiet and so requires a proactive attitude towards the upkeep of the café. This is an opportunity to work in the leisure industry at a relaxed pace. At times, you will be required to use a fryer as well as the coffee and ice cream machine, so a general interest in cooking is desirable.
Previous experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate; barista training will be provided, as well as all of the necessary food and hygiene certificates and on-site training. You will be working on your own and will be open to the elements as the bus has a side serving hatch.
3 afternoons weekdays 3.30pm-6.30pm
