Overview
We are currently seeking a Cleaner to join our team in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in our facilities. The role involves ensuring a clean and safe environment for everyone using our church and community spaces.
Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Sanitise and disinfect surfaces to prevent the spread of germs
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
Person Specification
· Trustworthy individual with great integrity to be trusted as building keyholder
· Strength and ability to regularly carry out physically demanding tasks such as mopping, lifting, moving equipment.
· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, or willingness to learn and stay regularly informed of latest legislation.
· Ability to work alone efficiently and confidently.
· Familiarity with material Safety Data Sheets
· Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
· Friendly individual who will positively represent and uphold the culture of FCC.
· Excellent customer service manner.
· Commitment to understand and adhere to safeguarding policies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 18 per week
