We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a band 6 Respiratory Nurse Specialist to join our team. Some experience in a respiratory environment is essential (inpatient or outpatient).

This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. The role will primarily involve the care of COPD, Asthma and Interstitial Lung disease (ILD) patients on a rotational basis. It will also involve supporting the Non-Invasive ventilation service, and the home oxygen service. The work will be located in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

There will be close liaison with community teams. There may also be research opportunities within the role. The right applicant will require teaching skills, a willingness to be involved in service development and excellent communication skills.
