An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Radiation Physics team of Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering at UCLH Trust. This is a new post as part of our expanding team. We are looking for a self-motivated clinical technologist to make a major contribution to the radiation protection services provided by the department, and particularly the personal dosimetry service, environmental monitoring, xray and ultrasound QC and monitor calibration services. Previous experience of working with a personal dosimetry service would be advantageous, but training will be provided if required.
Applications will be accepted from individuals who have an HND or degree in Radiation Physics or equivalent.

The post is a full-time position working alongside a team of 11 clinical scientists and 1 other technologist.
The role requires knowledge of radiation protection in healthcare and academic research environments. The role also requires an understanding of other physics services such as Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy – for a fuller description please refer to the job description.

As a member of the team providing medical physics services you will work across all departments using radiation in the Trust, and with a broad range of external clients in and around London. The department has close links with UCL.
