VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Would you like to make a difference to families?
Do you have a warm and caring nature, a willingness to help others, the ability to remain impartial and confidential at all times with a good sense of humour?
Are you available on Saturday mornings?
Children's Links needs you!
We are a charity which runs Child contact centres where children of separated families can enjoy contact with one or both parents in a comfortable, neutral and safe environment, when there is no viable alternative.
Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:
1. Set up the venue and carry out health and safety checks and risk assessments
2. Meet and greet the resident and non resident parents and children
3. Facilitate and encourage positive interaction
4. Support the family with the care of the child eg nappy changing or feeding
5. Support the family’s understanding of the process
6. Provide refreshments.
7. To be aware of and adhere to policy and practice guidelines on :
- Confidentiality
- Health and safety
- Child protection
- Equality and Diversity
Training: all necessary training will be provided
