Role Overview:
In this role, you will collaborate with teachers, authors, and our in-house team to create visually engaging teaching materials. Beyond design, you will also support our operations by assisting with various administrative tasks, making this a diverse role that blends creativity with day-to-day business functions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with directors, teachers, and freelance writers to translate content into visually stunning educational resources.
• Create original illustrations, including diagrams of varying degrees of complexity for subjects like biology and geography, for both print and digital media.
• Typeset text and integrate illustrations into templates for various print formats.
• Refine and adapt illustrations based on feedback to ensure alignment with educational standards.
• Stay current with industry trends to continuously enhance design techniques and skills.
• Utilise software tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design), Sketch Up, and CAD to produce high-quality designs.
• Support company operations by managing emails, phone calls, and orders, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the business.
• Work closely with the Directors, contributing creative ideas and supporting various company initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Degree level or equivalent is advantageous
• Proficiency in graphic and digital design, with strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of CAD software is a plus
• Ability to sketch by hand is an advantage
• Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for learning

Hours of Work:

• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break
