Position Responsibilities: The Customer Service Representative interacts with customers via phone and email to provide pricing quotes, enter sales orders, and respond to other customer inquiries. Candidates must be an enthusiastic communicator, thoughtful listener and dedicated team player with the desire to grow and succeed.

  • Primary contact for customer service requirements.
  • Handle sales inquiries, orders and customer communications.
  • Pricing stock inventory items as well as cut to size parts.
  • Accurately entering quote/order information into the computer system. Perform outcalls to develop orders.
  • Sourcing non-stock (buyout) items to fulfill customer’s requirements.
  • Communication with customer throughout the order fulfillment process.
  • Expedite and trace customer orders.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with established customers.
  • Communication with management and other employees to facilitate customer satisfaction and further sales.
  • Aware of sourcing alternatives – mill lead times in the purchasing of stock and non-stock items.

Qualifications And Competencies:

  • College degree preferred; or one to two years of related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity. Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
  • Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions.
  • Computer Skills including MS Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
