The Role

As a Deputy Marketing and Communications Manager you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing integrated external marketing and communications strategies that support the UK Defence Sector goals and align with Qineti Q’s Marketing and Communications strategy. The role is critical to successfully managing the UK Defence Sector’s reputation with key stakeholders.

Day-to-day, you’ll report to the UK Defence Sector Marketing and Communications Lead within the Sector Growth function. You will work closely with colleagues from across the Sector and Group Marketing and Communications team to promote the Sector and Qineti Q. Additionally, you will also be responsible for measuring outcomes and identifying areas for improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:
Planning, developing and implementing external marketing and communications strategies for the UK Defence Sector that raise awareness of Qineti Q’s products, services and expertise, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure they contribute towards Sector and Company goals

Improving the impact and reach of external marketing and communications through a multi-channel approach, building on growth in digital media, ensuring a content-first approach to build awareness, strengthen the brand and protect reputation

Actively finding and developing UK Defence news stories that can be used to promote the Sector and the Company

Working closely with our MOD customer to ensure effective management and approval of activities related to sites managed by Qineti Q on behalf of the MOD

Being responsible for reporting on campaign results against pre-defined KPIs

This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough. Hybrid working patterns available. Travel to other Qineti Q and customer sites will be expected.

Essential experience of the Deputy Marketing and Communications Manager:

Strong B2B marketing and communications expertise with a demonstrable track record/ability to deliver

Demonstrable creative record

Experience working with senior leaders in a strategic advisory role

Essential qualifications for the Deputy Marketing and Communications Manager:

Degree level educated or equivalent working experience
