Director of Process Architecture, Life Sciences

Position: Director of Process Architecture
We are seeking Director of Process Architecture to join our team of passionate professionals dedicated to providing best-in-class support to our Life Sciences clients.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the technical leadership of our front-end and execution design teams supporting both manufacturing and operational processes for cutting edge pharmaceutical facilities and the creation of world-class solutions for our Life Science Clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the requirements of projects and work with Project Managers to determine scope, architectural concepts, budget and scheduling of work
- Create front-end feasibilities, concept studies and site master plans to guide new investments from a technology and facility standpoint
- Develop detailed scope of work reports for architectural design following preliminary reviews and meetings with client teams
- Act as the technical eyes and ears of our clients throughout the execution of their new investments
- Build effective relationships with clients, partners, and contractors
- Monitor progress of work and update Project Managers on any scope changes, risks, requests for additional services etc
- Manage, supervise and train junior technical staff and support their development to becoming the subject matter expert of the future
- Apply expert knowledge of commonly used architectural concepts, practices, codes and procedures to Life Science solutions
- Degree educated in Architectural Engineering or equivalent
- Substantial (10 years+) experience architectural design experience within the Life Sciences industries
- Substantial (10 years+) experience within project scope development, conceptual design, pharmaceutical regulatory compliance
- Proven track record of successfully delivering architectural design projects within the Life Sciences industries
- Experienced in client management and stakeholder engagement
- Expert in project methodologies and processes
- Ability to work methodically and analytically and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Location: This position is based in the UK and may require travel to client sites or other FPC Life Science locations globally as required.
