Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Driver’s Mate to support our delivery operations with a start time between 6-7am. In this role, you will work closely with one of our delivery drivers, helping ensure timely and efficient deliveries to our customers. Your primary tasks will include unloading and organising delivery loads throughout the day, assisting with paperwork, and aiding the driver in finding delivery locations and parking. You will also be responsible for ensuring goods are delivered and placed in the agreed-upon locations.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with unloading and reorganising delivery items as needed.
• Help manage and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Ensure goods are left in the correct locations at delivery sites.
• Operate equipment such as electric pump trucks and trolleys and utilise tail-lifts as needed for certain deliveries.
• Professionally interact with customers, ensuring goods are delivered correctly and checked off where necessary.

Requirements

• Physically fit: Able to handle potentially heavy items like kegs and cases.
• Good communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
• Attention to detail: Capable of reading and understanding delivery paperwork.

Desirable Skills:

• Prior experience with delivery work, especially in Central London.
• Familiarity with tail-lift operation.
• Experience in using an electric pump truck and manual trolleys.
• Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to schedules.
