Macmillan Distribution (MDL) is the award winning distribution arm of the Macmillan Publishing International Group. MDL provides a distribution service for its own Group publishers as well as distribution services to over 40 third party publishers. The commercial operations are based in Basingstoke and the warehouse in Swansea ensures a smooth operation of receiving, storing and distributing an extensive range of books, handling over 40,000 titles.
The Export Customer Services department is seeking to recruit an Export Service Coordinator on a 12 months fixed term contract. The successful candidate will report directly to the Export Customer Service Manager. Working within the Export Customer Service Team they will take ownership of tasks and provide support to the Export Customer Services Manager and Team, delivering exceptional service to our distributed Publishers, their customers and internal departments.
This is a varied position which will involve:

• Delivering exceptional service to our distributed Publishers and their customers and building trusted relationships with them.
• Processing orders and dealing with queries in line with our service levels and international regulations
• Effective and continual communication with internal colleagues, publishers, customers and our carriers.
• Ensure processes are adhered to, are as smart as they can be and look for opportunities to develop and improve
• Being flexible, supporting the rest of your team if needed, sharing knowledge and taking ownership of tasks to resolution

• Willing to work in a pressurised and be able to meet deadlines

This is a challenging role which requires the ability to work on your own initiative
and the flexibility to cope with a varied workload.
The position will be 35 hours per week and hours of work will be 09.00 am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday. The role is based in Basingstoke.
