Role overview
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant – the successful candidate will be AAT part qualified (or higher) and have at least two years’ experience of working in a finance or accounting role.
Key duties
· To perform data entry and accurately input financial transactions into accounting software.
· To undertake supplier transactions including the processing of invoices using our paperless system.
· To raise sales invoices to customers on a monthly basis, reconciling the debtor’s ledger.
· To assist with processing payments and ensuring compliance with Wookey Hole policies and procedures.
· To cash-up our various sites, including reconciling safe balances.
· To issue change and be responsible for management of the safe.
· To upload sales, banking transactions, and journals.
· To process expenses, petty cash, and credit card transactions.
· To provide general support to the Head of Finance.

Hours of work:
· 24 hours a week (3 days).
· Available times: 8.30am – 5pm or 9.00am – 5.30pm.
· Preferred days Monday, Wednesday and Friday, although there is some room for movement.
Requirements
· Minimum AAT part qualified.
· Minimum of two years’ experience of working in a finance or accounting role.
· Proficient in Excel.
· Be able to work independently and as part of a small team.
Package
· £16,110 p.a.
· Overtime available
· 17 days holiday
