SUMMARY:
As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the finance function for Go North West Ltd adhere to the Go-Ahead Group, audit and legal requirements. You will be responsible for managing the Finance function based at Go North West and monitoring and reporting of all financial activity, including financial analysis as and when required.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

• To oversee the production of the business monthly management accounts in line with Go-Ahead Group policies
• To comply with all Go-Ahead Group internal reporting requirements
• Responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts receivable function for Go North West ensuring that invoices are sent and received in a timely manner and in line with business requirements. This includes –

o Collation of data for invoicing
o Creation of invoices
o Preparation and distribution of customer statements
o Allocation of any cash received
o Preparation of the single entity aged debt report

• Responsible for the reviewing the profit and loss account for the business
• Responsible for preparing the balance sheet for business including reconciliations
• Establish yourself as an expert with the Oracle Fusion system and support the administration and staff training of the accounting software
• Manage the Finance Team and ensure that regular reviews and annual appraisals are completed for everyone
• Responsible for preparing the year end Statutory Accounts and liaising with the external audit team
• Assist with preparation of the annual budget
• To undertake any additional reasonable duties at the request of the Finance Director
• To undertake any training and development activities at the request of the Finance Director

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, CONDITIONS SPECIFICATION:

• ACCA, CIMA qualified member or overseas equivalent
• Essential that you have a highly developed knowledge of Office 365
• Strong verbal, graphical and written communication skills are necessary as you may need to liaise with a variety of levels across the business, and provide documentation for audit trail purposes
• Previous experience of managing and supervising a team of finance staff is essential
• Comfortable presenting financial information to non-financial managers
• Adaptable and flexible approach as there may be an occasional need to work outside of the core hour

• To report to your Line Manager or any other relevant official any injury, collision of dangerous occurrence in which you may have been involved, or are aware of having taken place at your work location, or any concern you have about health and safety issues.

Pay: £65,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
