Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and resilient individuals to join our team as Volunteer Fundraisers. This role involves engaging with the public to raise awareness about abuse and generate funds by selling merchandises so that we can continue to provide adequate support to abuse survivors.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable standing outdoors for prolonged periods and interacting with a diverse range of people, even in varying weather conditions. A friendly demeanour, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to defuse challenging situations effectively are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute fundraising initiatives effectively.
- Stand outside for extended periods in various weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.).
- Prepare reports and presentations on fundraising activities and market analysis for stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of donations and follow organizational guidelines.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during interactions.
- Represent the organization with professionalism, honesty, and integrity at all times.
- Build positive relationships with potential people through polite, respectful, and friendly interactions.
- Travel to different locations as needed to support fundraising efforts.
- Engage in public relations efforts to promote the organisation's mission and objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in relationship management or a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with fundraising principles and practices is an advantage.
- Experience in public relations or marketing is desirable.
- Engage with the public to raise awareness about our organization and encourage them to support by purchasing a merchandise.
- A high level of physical and mental resilience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and public relation skills.
- Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
- Willingness to travel to different locations as needed
- Previous fundraising or public-facing experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
