Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide educational support to students in GCSE English. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, including those with special educational needs, and possess the ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible manner. This role is crucial in helping students achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities.
Duties

• Assess individual student needs and develop tailored tutoring plans to address specific learning objectives.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in designated subjects, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance student understanding and retention of material.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to ensure effective learning outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including attendance, topics covered, and student achievements.

Skills

• Strong background in special education is highly desirable, enabling the tutor to effectively support diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear explanations and foster positive relationships with students.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting, demonstrating patience and adaptability in various learning scenarios.
• Proficiency in tutoring techniques across English, ensuring a well-rounded approach to education.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students, helping them build confidence and a love for learning.
