Role description:
You will be a dedicated Secondary maths and science Tutor who can work in-person with a Y10 student. The student has been diagnosed with ADHD and ASD and is currently home schooling. You will need to work alongside the student to understand their drivers and implement strategies to engage them in their learning.
· Experienced tutor required for maths and science (KS4/GCSE)
· Daytime tutoring to take place in the student's home
· Competitive hourly rate
· Tutoring for the 2024-25 academic year.
Responsibilities of the tutor:

• Build positive relationships and help students to overcome barriers to learning
• Plan and deliver Maths and science lessons aligned with the Y10 curriculum
• Implement teaching and learning strategies based on the student's ADHD & ASD and make adjustments to maintain focus and motivate the student
• Complete session reports of student’s engagement, progress and attainment, record weekly attendance figures.

Requirements for the role:
To be considered for the Secondary Tutor maths and science role you will:

• Have experience of teaching young people (essential)
• Have the ability to teach maths and science to GCSE level
• Be able to work with the student (in-person) in Witney, Oxfordshire
• Have a comprehensive understanding of working with young people who have ADHD and ASD.
