We are a purpose-built first-opinion, small animal practice located in the lovely village of Hambleton on the Fylde Coast, close to Blackpool, Preston and Lancaster. Just over an hour to the beautiful Lakes District, an hour to Manchester Airport and just over an hour to Liverpool. There are a lot of options sports wise, several cinema's and plenty of nice pubs and restaurants, and choice of nightlife.
We have an incredibly supportive and friendly team of 8 vets, 14 RVNs, 5 ACAs all with various experience levels. We focus on our no-blame culture and provide protected weekly meeting time for the whole team to engage in our continuous improvement culture. Weekly meeting topics rotate, from full team meetings, individual team meetings, training meetings and significant event meetings. Our vets take a collaborative approach to their cases, we discuss these face to face, or via our dedicated vets Whatsapp group, help is always there! Even for our very experienced vets sole charge is rare, normally only at times during the weekend or on a bank holiday, but backup is always available.
Our excellent facilities include dental x-ray and procedure suite, staged dentals, 2 operating theatres, ultrasound room, digital x-ray facilities, large prep area, separate dog and cat wards and an in-house IDEXX lab including blood gasses. We have a second site 10 minutes away.
Step into a supportive start
40 hours per week, 4 week days a week with a rotating/fixed day off. 1:6 OOH and weekend rota. We provide our own OOH service for our clients, and we see a great variety of cases which would only be started when you are ready for this and is fully supported by back up on call.
Our Clinical Director is Vet GDP advisor and Regional Graduate Coach and our Head Vet is certificate holder and Vet GDP advisor. We have had graduates for last 3 years and are excited to welcome another graduate and support them on their journey. The whole Vet team takes a collaborative approach and we all learn from each other. We have regular 121's, Professional Development Meetings, and the protected team meeting time.
