Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of grilled foods according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and culinary best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including cooking equipment and utensils.
• Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces as needed.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure that all dishes are served at the correct temperature and quality.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Help in the training of new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
• A genuine passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals.
