We are an independent local charity based in Bosham, Chichester, offering a wide range of services to support our patients, and their loved ones, who are living with a life limiting or terminal illness.

Being Head of Marketing and Communications at St Wilfrid’s
The Head of Marketing and Communications, reporting to the Director of Income Generation, will develop and lead marketing and communications across the whole Charity, supporting departments in generating additional income through our shops and fundraising initiatives, while increasing the profile of St Wilfrid’s within the community and encouraging advocacy.
The successful candidate will lead a small team managing marketing and communications activities across the whole organisation including; Digital and non-digital marketing, PR, website, social and design. Working closely with all departments, you’ll be leading a marketing and communications strategy to support the Charity’s strategic plan.
We are looking for someone who is prepared to take a hands-on approach and support the work of marketing and communications in this busy, dynamic team.
You will use your skills to maximise brand development opportunities and increase engagement with the general public, retention and advocacy. Your knowledge and expertise will be used to make effective decisions on marketing placements, messaging, segments, and spend and resource. As part of your role, you will be the trusted Marketing and Communications expert within the Charity, and be expected to advise the teams at the Charity on the best routes to success.
This is a fixed term contract, with a 12-14 month term considered for a successful handover. Ideal start date January/February 2025.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent experience (Essential)
• Professional qualification in PR/Marketing/Digital Marketing/Communications or equivalent experience (Essential)
• Extensive practical experience of developing the skills of a team of marketing/communication professionals (Essential)
• Extensive experience of successful delivery against targets (Essential)
• Car driver and regular access to own car (Essential)
• Right to work in the UK (Essential)

Interview Information
Interviews will be held in two stages. First interviews will be held on Microsoft Teams across 6th-10th December 2024.
Second stage interviews will be held in person at St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Bosham on 16th or 17th December 2024.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: £46,001.00-£53,172.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
