As a Highway Design Engineer at Mayer Brown, you will play a key role in shaping our projects and driving projects forward. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist with preparation of solutions and proposals, consultation, detailed design and detailing of highway improvement schemes from feasibility to construction.
- Using Auto CAD and other software, you will be preparing technical designs, drawings, documents specifications and other works information for S38 and S278 highway improvements schemes.
- Produce technical reports and proposals.
- Managing your time ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
- A BTEC Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering.
- A knowledge of UK highway design standards (DMRB, Manual for Streets etc).
- Experience of Auto CAD is essential experience of other industry standard software advantageous (e.g. Microdrainage, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, Signplot).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A full UK driving license.
