We are looking for a highly experienced, financially driven, customer focussed full-time Hotel Manager to join and manage our team at Monachyle Mhor Hotel.
We are a family owned boutique hotel with an award winning 3 Rosette restaurant and are looking for a candidate who is passionate about hospitality, can work in service and has an extensive knowledge of great food and wine.
In this key position you will support the General Manager and manage the staff and the hotel on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who has the ability, confidence and knowledge to be able to jump right in on all departments when required. Working hands-on in service within the restaurant and at events with the Restaurant Manager and team.
You must be commercially astute, computer literate, results driven and have a knowledge of wines, whiskies, cocktails and ideally have knowledge of using Mapal/Flow, Mews and Newbridge ideally which would be highly beneficial.
You should be a team player, not afraid of hard work, be approachable and a great all rounder. You will ensure quality service and standards are maintained while delivering memorable experiences for our new and returning guests. If you are looking for a Monday to Friday 9 to 5pm office based role then this is not for you.
The successful candidate will support, train and the lead by example and have experience of increasing room occupancy, increasing revenue and profits. The candidate must also be willing to build on and maintain the strong relationships we have with our suppliers.
Throughout the year at Monachyle Mhor Hotel we host a range of events. This position requires you to be adaptable and able to manage and support our existing teams. We are looking for a candidate who will be passionate about their role, empower their staff, and be warm and welcoming to their guests.

Responsibilities include
Managing service in a hands-on lead role

• Meet weekly targets and budgets Wage Percentage, GP and Purchases
• Correctly ordering and pricing stock
• Managing stock rotation and orders to minimise waste
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
• Managing, leading, training and motivating staff across departments
• Increasing room occupancy and revenue

Essential skills:

• Must have 5* hotel background experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Restaurant management position
• Must have knowledge of fine-dining and quality service standards
• WSET 2 or 3 qualification
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Organisational skills
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
• Excellent knowledge, enthusiasm and understanding of food, beverages, cocktails and wine is essential.
