We are seeking a skilled and experienced internal auditor. This role is responsible for managing, planning and leading all audits across the business. They will support the appointment of additional audit requirements sourced externally and will manage these. This role is vital in ensuring our internal controls are robust and enable the company to achieve its strategic goals.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities

• Development of the risk-based audit plan and the strategy to deliver this (internally or externally)
• Leading audits covering a broad range of areas of financial and operational controls and compliance, perform engagement procedures, including interviews, controls testing, fact gathering, evidence analysis and documenting of business processes. Produce valid and supportable conclusions.
• Presents and discuss adequately supported audit findings, recommendations, and conclusions with auditees.
• Provide timely updates on Audit Projects and Issues.
• Develop, document and continually review Internal Audit & Control Methodology.
• Effectively and confidently communicate with all stakeholders related to audits including those on Executive Board
• Contact root cause analysis on control and process issues with clear recommendations to address these.
• Provide follow-up reporting to stakeholders. Ensures accurate and timely assessment of corrective actions developed and taken by management
• Identifies potential Internal Control deficiencies and discuss them with control owners and agree actions
• Supports the continuous improvement of functional performance, soliciting customer feedback and ongoing self-development.
• Creatively use data analytics and visualisation tools to share insights gained through audits
• Provide subject matter expert support to the Risk and Controls Framework

What do you need?
Skills & Competencies

• University Degree
• Professional accountancy or internal audit qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA, RA)
• 2-3 years of internal or external audit, internal control or assurance advisory audit experience
• Solid understanding of internal audit methodologies and risk assessment
• Proficient in using audit software and MS Office suite (especially Excel, Word, and Power Point).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team

Qualifications & Experience

• Charted Accountant or qualified by experience
