IT Programme Manager

The successful candidate will have proven experience leading the implementation of ERP solutions (preferable IFS) or similar complex technology and business change programmes. A proven background in working with senior and executive stakeholders and managing 3rd parties (including the procurement of software and services) are essential to a role which will lead an implementation that will have a broad impact across the business.
You will be at the forefront of our efforts to transform our business . During your time here you will lead multiple transformation programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Your role will be critical in aligning our strategic vision with actionable plans and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
- Steer the delivery of the IT Programmes key to the delivery of the business roadmap, from initiation through to delivery and benefits tracking.
- Setting Programme outcomes, goals deliverables, and timelines for the programme and projects within.
- Ensure strong quality while governing the schedule, costs and benefits of the programme.
- Optimising our five-year capital programme, working with stakeholders from across the business to drive efficiency, and managing the capital programme's delivery.
- Managing Pipeline and roadmap and developing the key projects and the impact and cross dependencies.
- Playing a leading role of engagement with all levels of the company including project delivery teams, senior Executives and the board Monitoring Progress.
- •Developing and managing the resource plan along with the skills, performance and behaviours of the team. Ensuring the building of strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Matrix management of large programme teams, consisting of internal, contract and 3rd Party resource.
- Engagement and management of third-party suppliers and service providers key to delivery of the programme.
- Create and manage the key information that must be reported and keep stakeholders informed about programme status, Support Pre & Post-mortems, risk & issue management workshops, scoping and lessons learned on your projects.
- Support the Head of IT PMO and CIO with the wider portfolio delivery and development of the projects, people development and operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience guiding complex IT programmes and projects, with value up to £5m.
- Experienced guiding change in an IT delivery environment. (Essential)•Experienced engaging and managing stakeholders including executive (Essential) and board members. (Desirable)
- Excellent understanding of all aspects of delivering software products and services. (Essential)
- Experience of delivering within a technical IT environment. (Essential)•Business change.
- Experience of managing matrix teams. (Essential)
- Experienced using agile and waterfall delivery techniques. (Essential)
- Experienced working in a Dev Ops environment. (Desirable)
- Holds a project management certification e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, APM. (Essential)
- Experience in Stakeholder management up to executive level. (Essential)•Strong financial management skills and experience. Experienced managing projects up to £15m. (Essential)
- Experience of Microsoft applications – Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project and Visio. (Essential)
- Experience in the water industry or closely related industries (e.g. Energy/ Telecoms). (Desirable)
- Experience working with third-party suppliers and driving their performance. (Desirable)
- Proven skills in verbal and written communication, writing of business case & board reports.
- Skills in guiding business change and engagement plans.
- Have set up a government and appropriate steering commitment.
- Have experience and mentoring of staff as well as leading by behaviours.

Pay: £70,000.00-£85,000.00 per year
