About us: Tarator is a new fast-casual delivery-only restaurant based in Wimbledon dedicated to bringing the vibrant flavours and fresh ingredients of the Mediterranean to busy urbanites. Our primary offerings consist of bowls and wraps; customers can customize their bowls and wraps to suit their taste preferences and dietary needs, with a variety of protein options, fresh toppings, and flavourful sauces to choose from. Job Summary/Objective: The kitchen staff is responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning methods, ensuring thorough sanitation. They also assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, perform floor sweeping and mopping, dispose of waste, and monitor cleaning supplies while supporting the team with food preparation tasks and complying with health and safety standards through effective collaboration.

Pay: GBP 12/hour.
Schedule: Weekend only (up to 24 hours per weekend), with possibility of overtime.
Responsibilities/Duties
Food Preparation:
- Conduct basic food preparation tasks, ingredient assembly, and other assigned duties.
- Responsible for washing dishes, utensils, cups, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to established standards.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen space by routinely cleaning surfaces, shelves, and storage areas.
- Properly store kitchen equipment and ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Perform floor sweeping and mopping to uphold a hygienic and safe working environment.
- Dispose of waste properly by emptying trash cans.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate replenishment needs to management.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a secure workplace.
- Promptly report any identified hazards or concerns to the kitchen manager or supervisor.
- Foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere by working closely with the entire team.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues to facilitate smooth workflow coordination.
- Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures, including uniform standards and attendance requirements.
- Assist other departments with tasks if/when needed.
- A right attitude and willingness to learn.
- Minimum of one year of prior experience in a comparable role is necessary.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Keen eye for detail and dedication to upholding elevated levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Effective communication abilities and adeptness at collaborating within a team.
- Physical endurance and capacity to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if/as required.
- Right to work in the UK is mandatory.
- Level 1 and Level 2 Food Safety certificates. If you don't already have these certificates, we will cover the cost of your training during the first week to help you obtain them.
