Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will operate our advanced laser cutting machinery, including our new 24k W TRUMPF laser, known for its speed and precision. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain TRUMPF laser cutting machines to cut metal components according to project specifications
• Set up and adjust machine parameters to ensure optimal performance and precision
• Monitor the laser cutting process to ensure safe and high-quality production
• Coordinate with dedicated offloading staff to ensure correct part allocation and workflow
• Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment to check tolerances against technical drawings
• Identify and troubleshoot minor issues with equipment and make adjustments as necessary
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements:

• Prior experience operating laser cutting machines, with TRUMPF experience preferred
• Familiarity with various metals and material thicknesses
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications
• Proficient in using measuring tools, such as callipers and micrometres, to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £11.44-£16.11 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.25 per week
