Knit Mesh Technologies Ltd are currently recruiting for Production Operators (Grade 1) to join our dynamic team based on-site at our Head Office in Holywell within commutable distance from Deeside, Flint, Prestatyn, Rhyl and St Asaph.

The role
The main responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Planning and organisation of work;
• Understanding of works orders, interpretation of drawings and route cards;
• Core forming, auto gill cutting, manual mesh rolling, press operation and spot welding;
• Material handling and identification;
• Monitoring and maintaining mesh quality;
• Periodic mesh inspection and recording of dimensional, weight parameters;
• Packing mesh components if necessary.

What skills and experience you will you need:

• Able to understand basic engineering drawings;
• Familiar with working in an engineering production environment;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Good communication skills, especially verbal;
• Willing to work overtime as and when required.

This role requires a flexible approach and the ability to work in a positive manner within a team. Previous experience within a production environment is desirable, although full training will be provided.
What we can offer you as a remuneration/benefits package:

• This role is temp to perm – following a temporary period of 12 weeks, should you meet the performance requirements, the role will be made permanent.
• Rate of Pay - Initially £12 per hour during training on dayshift, moving to £13.92 per hour (including shift allowance).
• Work Pattern - 3-shift rotating shift pattern: Mornings: 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday; Afternoons: 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday (includes a 15% shift allowance); Nights: 10pm to 6am, Sunday night to Friday morning (includes a 33% shift allowance).
