The role
As a Level 1 Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll work within an analytical team in a laboratory to deliver analytical services to customers.

Day-to-day, you’ll assist in the delivery of assigned programmes of work which will support the overall delivery of analytical results. This includes:

• Working as part of an effective team to support and coach each other to provide a consistent and efficient level of service.
  
• Identify and report issues to maintain and improve operational capability and level of service.
  
• Assist with the validation of new and existing techniques and equipment prior to use to comply with quality systems.
  
• Complying with the laboratory quality management systems to support accreditation.
  
• Comply with processes and procedures to enable safe working practices

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Westlakes

Essential experience of the Level 1 Analyst

• Experience in analytical chemistry
• Awareness of conventional and radiological safety
• IT literate
• Ability to work as part of a team

Qualifications for the Level 1 Analyst

• Science GCSEs at grade A to C or equivalent
