Based at Glanford Power Station
Energy Power Resources is recognised as one of the leaders in the renewable energy market as a significant contributor to the production of biomass energy for the home market.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the focus of the Technician will be to undertake routine and defect maintenance work to ensure the reliability, availability and output of the plant and equipment are achieved.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate must possess a high level of technical plant awareness, excellent problem-solving skills, together with experience of safe systems of work. Ideally you will have a ‘time served’ apprenticeship, with a minimum of 5 years power generation/utility experience and ONC or equivalent qualification. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, IT skills which includes Microsoft products and Maintenance Management System software. This position may attract an On-Call requirement.

Average 38 hours a week
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays - increases with service

Responsibilities
- Ensure that safe working practises and procedures are adhered to within all areas of work.
- Execute routine and non-routine maintenance activities in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
- Investigate plant problems and identify solutions.
- Prepare and present technical reports.
- Maintain work and activity records.
- Carry out continuous plant condition monitoring routines.
- Ensure effective planning is in place with adequate and competent resources available.
- Supervise other staff and contracted personnel as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
- Support your line manager in the preparation of work.
- Communicate and encourage good working relationships within the team.
- Provide cover for the Maintenance co-ordination in their absence.
- Have a full understanding of cost implications and power generation with your areas of work.
- Adhere to the SHE Management System at all times.
