Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Plant)

North Air is responsible for providing into-plane services on behalf of major oil companies. We operate at 20 locations across the UK, where we carry out approximately 300 000 fuelling’s per year. We aim to provide safe, reliable and efficient into-plane services to our customers' satisfaction.
The Basic salary will be £41,000 - £43,000 + 7.5% bonus + OTE £50,000+
Job Purpose:
We require a qualified Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Plant) to maintain our site equipment and plant.
This is a mobile role supporting our southern sites across the UK, including Manchester, East Midlands, Bristol and Stanstead. A Company van is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technicians key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
- Ensure that preventative maintenance programmes and unplanned works are carried out in accordance with JIG/Company/National Standards
- To maintain and repair site Equipment and Plant
- Act as Permit to Work Issuing Authority including Supervision of 3rd Party contractors and site engineering work
- Maintaining close working relationships with the Maintenance Manager, 3rd parties and stakeholders
- Ensuring that Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to at all times
- Managing stock within agreed budgets
- Manage personal training and provide coaching
As this role involves some airside working, a CRB check and checkable work history, is essential as part of the airside pass application process.
Outside of projects this role will be worked on a Monday to Friday basis with the potential, during projects your working pattern will involve working at weekends and overnight stays.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- 5 years post apprentice Mechanical/Maintenance experience
- Control of work experience
- Recognised qualification in HGV maintenance & repair
- Team player
- Safety awareness
- Practical working knowledge of Aviation and/or fuel storage equipment
- A good working knowledge of computerised Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) preferred but not essential
- Familiarisation with DSEAR regulations, Hazardous Area classification/zoning
- Project Management and Management of Change (Mo C) experience
Pay: £41,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
