Job Overview:
Surg Ease Innovations is excited to announce a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team! If you are highly motivated and skilled in mechanical design with a passion for innovative healthcare solutions, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components for medical devices.
• Manage manufacturing processes, including plastic injection moulding, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Oversee validation and verification activities in compliance with ISO 13485.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, to ensure designs meet patient and customer needs, usability, and manufacturability.
• Apply problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality engineering solutions within time, cost, and quality objectives.

Expectations:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with experience in the medical devices sector.
• Extensive experience with 3D CAD software (ideally SOLIDWORKS).
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as plastic injection moulding, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Hands-on engineering experience with a practical, applied approach.
• Passion for problem-solving with strong written and oral communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working cross-departmentally, including with Marketing, to consider human factors, usability, environmental factors, and design for manufacturing and assembly.
• Experience in the successful development of medical devices, specifically to ISO 13485 standards.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14971 for the development of medical devices.
• Experience designing enclosures for high IP ratings.

Working Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.9:00 am to 6:00 pm with flexibility to accommodate business needs (1-hour lunch break).
